Capacity Training
Acosys can provide to Aboriginal organizations and First Nations Government capacity training for employees and board members, such as key points for employers of the provincial/federal employment laws, how to effectively recruit and retain your employees, roles and responsibilities of employees and board members. We can also customize training based on your current needs and assist you in the development of employee policies to assist you in the day-to-day management of your workforce. By informing and training your employees and board members, you will save money on your employment costs.
Research
Acosys also provides research and policy development services to Aboriginal organizations and governments. Past policy papers have focused on the impact of Bill C-31 on Aboriginal women, the division of matrimonial property on reserves, financial independence for non-governmental organizations as well as the human resources, economic development and employability of Aboriginal peoples.
Our policy papers depict the existing situation, outline possibilities and recommend options in order to help executive officers and board members decide the best course of action. The research, analysis and writing completed for the policy papers encompasses both legal and policy perspectives.
