Acosys is an Aboriginal-owned business that provides professional consulting services in Information Technology, Human Resources and Aboriginal Policy Development. We aim to maintain a 33% Aboriginal human resources component for each project.
Acosys Consulting Services is a registered supplier with the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Businesses (PSAB), a Government of Canada initiative connecting Aboriginal suppliers with contractors. We are certified by the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC) as an Aboriginal supplier. We are also a member of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB).
We will recruit, train and mentor in the best practices of IT, HR and Aboriginal Policy Development delivery and provide opportunities to Aboriginal people who have a desire to work in these areas of consulting. We endeavour to work directly with our clients to find creative and innovative solutions that meet their needs. Our goal is to be a recognized world-class Aboriginal consultation firm whose reputation is built on timely delivery of services within allocated budgets.
Our Co-founders
Acosys Consulting Services Inc. was incorporated in 2006 by its cofounders, David Acco and Julie Lepage, and is located in Montreal, Quebec.
David Acco, who is of Cree-Métis descent, holds an International MBA from the University of Ottawa and has completed a Masters Business Analyst Certificate from the Schulich School of Business at York University. In addition, David has also completed a Graduate Diploma in eCommerce and management from McGill University. David has experience leading teams and working independently on projects varying in size and scope. He has extensive experience in Information Systems and Information Technology (IS/IT) in the telecommunications and engineering industries as a project manager, business analyst and proposals coordinator with companies such as Infoterra (Germany) and Amdocs Management Services (formally known as Certen) and many non-profit Aboriginal organizations. These experiences have enabled David to develop comprehensive strategies to approach a variety of business challenges.
Julie Lepage, a member of the Nippissing-Ojibway First Nation, graduated from the University of Ottawa Common Law and Civil Law Programs. Julie is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Fully bilingual, she specializes in HR implementation and labour/employment relations. Julie has worked for many corporate, non-governmental and governmental offices developing and coordinating employee handbooks, integration processes and orientation sessions for new employees, and she has also developed, implemented and trained managers about harassment policies and diversity recruitment strategies. In addition, Julie has administered grievances and collective agreements in B.C., Quebec, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Julie’s extensive legal and human resources experience has enabled her to develop insights into labour relations, employee benefits and training requirements.
